As co-founder of the firm, Sally specializes in insurance defense litigation and insurance coverage disputes. Her clients include Virginia’s leading insurers and their customers. She has defended clients in the Virginia courts as well as the Eastern District of Virginia.

She pursued law as a second career after 19 years in the insurance industry. In addition to 12 years as a claim specialist for State Farm in northern Virginia (where she received her CPCU designation in 1995), she worked briefly at USAA’s former Washington office in Reston, Virginia, and also in insurance sales agency management before moving to Virginia Beach in 2003 to pursue her law degree. Upon admission to the Bar she spent a year as a public defender and then worked at GEICO Staff Counsel for five years before entering private insurance defense practice.

She has received Martindale-Hubbell’s AV-Preeminent rating, which is the highest peer rating standard for legal knowledge, communication skills, and ethical standards. She has also been  recognized as a “Super Lawyer” since 2021. In October 2023 she became a licensed member of the North Carolina State Bar.
